Donna Wilson is a teller of dreams, schemes
and perfectly awful predicaments and has been telling her stories professionally for over 8 years - but is a lifelong storyteller.
Whether it is a personal story, a wild family story, old fable, scary story, or a mountainous tall tale, it will be lively
and animated. After retiring from Ohio University she began telling at schools, organizations, libraries, senior
centers, and Appalachian conferences. She has produced Tellabration in Meigs county, Ohio for five years bringing over 25 storytellers to southeast Ohio. She placed second in the Liar's Contest at the Hockhocking Folk Festival at Nelsonville,
Ohio, in 2005 and 2007. She co-wrote
a grant that is funded by the Ohio River Border Initiative for "Stories at the
River's Edge." A storytelling program for four Wednesdays in July in the morning at Middleport,OH, and in the afternoon in Mason, WV.
A different teller will perform each week at this event. She is a boardmember for the Ohio Order for the Preservation of Storytelling and will coordinate their conference for 2008. She is a member of
Storytellers of Central Ohio, the WV Storytelling Guild, and the National Storytelling Network.
