After taking second place a couple of times, Rich won this
year's West Virginia storytelling contest. His official title: "West Virginia's Biggest Liar, 2002."
Richard Knoblich has been telling tales since 1988. Audiences
relish his distinctive style. Although he performs material gathered from a variety of traditional sources, he often blends
traditional folk tales with his own creative writings for enjoyable family entertainment.
His craftsmanship has established a solid reputation with
listeners of all ages. He alternates his original narratives with traditional folklore, Jack tales, ghost tales, and trickster
yarns.
Rich has also performed as an emcee at many events. He
has performed at the WV State Liar's contest in Charleston, WV, and has a span of stories throughout the age and literary
spectrum that he performs.
